True descendant of Navajo people Claire Obscure was born in a small Dutch town by the sea, December 9th 1973. It was a so-called "car free (not to confuse with care free) Sunday", because of the oily crisis of those days. It was quite a delivery, with Claire almost being strangled by the umbilicle chord. Nevertheless: there she was. From the first days on she took pride in her name, alternating extreme extravaganza with utter introversion. At the age of 15 she took up drums and hasn't stopped banging them since. Claire's comment on the new Caesar album: each record requires a different approach; you have to offer warmth, but you also need to be unbelievably blunt. You sort of grow with the matter and then you have to be able to let it go. Pretty heavy. Phantom limb, yes, that would be a good comparison.
